Long-Term Disinfection For GP Surgeries, Hospital and Medical

Definition of a Biocide: A biocide is defined in the European legislation as a chemical substance or microorganism intended to destroy, deter, render harmless, or exert a controlling effect on any harmful organism by chemical or biological means.

LGS Biocide is a long-term anti-viral, anti-bacterial and anti-fungal coating, which can be applied to any surface via spray, wipe or dry-air nebuliser.

Unlike most surface protection products, which once applied only last minutes, LGS Biocide remains active for up to 10 days after application and is resistant to the most common germs and viruses including MRSA, HIV, Hepatitis B&C and Norovirus. After significant testing LGS Biocide has been approved to be an effective barrier against Ebola hemorrhagic fever (Ebola or EVD).

LGS Biocide has been developed to protect medical environments such as Hospitals, surgeries, ambulances and other medical transport. In a typical GP surgery there are a variety of organisms, which are harmful to health, in a patient with a lowered immune system these can have devastating effects and cost the NHS considerable amounts of time, money and resources to treat. These organisms can cause sickness in health practitioners who spend considerable time in the surgery as part of their working day and therefore LGS Biocide can help reduce staff absences due to illness acquired from an unhealthy workplace.
